Der præsenteres nogle enkle og elementære former for akkompagnementsmønstre - til brug efter egen lyst og egne forudsætninger. Melodier med højst 8 toner - sammenspil - genbrugsakkompagnementer - relativ nodelæsning I dette bind udbygges repertoiret på højst 8 toner med 64 melodier. De tre bind indeholder tilsammen 187 melodier med op til 8 toner.  Materialet er nu også ordnet efter en rytmisk progression. Bind 3 indeholder specielt forslag til arbejde med relativ nodelæsning. Sammenspilsmaterialet er i alle tre bind skrevet med udgangspunkt i blokfløjten, og hvad sanglokalet giver af muligheder for let tilgængelige instrumenter. Men det kan i sin universelle karakter med held også anvendes til violin, harmonika, guitar, klaversammenspil, børnekor o.a.  Sammenspillets idé er at bruge og udvikle den intuitive musikforståelse hen mod en gradvis bevidst og mere eksakt forståelse. Arbejdet med ostinater, sekvensmelodier og trinvise lette stemmer er med til at udvikle en god fornemmelse for og forståelse af nodebilledet.

Melodier med 5-8 toner - sammenspil - genbrugsakkompagnementer - andenstemmer I dette bind udvides grebsomfanget gradvist. Sammenspilsidéerne med akkordmønstre og ostinatskeletter fortsættes. De er sammenhængende i de tre bind. Mange af melodierne er forsynet med lette og iørefaldende andenstemmer. Enkelte er sværere med løse fortegn og toner, der kræver overblæsningsteknik. Man kan være med uden nogen større nodelæsningsrutine og klare sig med et godt gehør og en god fornemmelse af takt, periode og toners sammenhæng. Kravene til at klare sig uden noder er dog lidt større end i bind 1.

Min Blokfløjtebog 2 er en fortsættelse af Min Blokfløjtebog 1. Stoffet er udbygget med sange, kanons, dansesatser og andre instrumentalsatser. Ligesom Min Blokfløjtebog 1 er progressionen langsom. Der indføres kun 4 nye toner og 1 ny rytmefigur. Efterhånden forekommer lidt længere og vanskeligere stykker og udvidet brug af artikulation, således at eleven får et større udtryk i sit eget spil og sammenspillet.   Min Blokfløjtebog 2 indeholder ingen teoretiske anvisninger, men disse kan naturligvis efter elevens motivation tilføjes af læreren.   Tre julesange, der er placeret bagerst i bogen, kan anvendes, når de er aktuelle.

Peter Maxwell Davies: Turn Of The Tide, Final Chorus (Chorus Part)

The task: to write a piece that could involve children as players, singers and composers alongside a professional symphony or chamber orchestra. The solution: a peace-cry for the biosphere, in which the collaborative nature of the enterprise is a metaphor for a wished-for human enlightenment to the ways of the natural world. Davies provides five musical elements and five ways of development, and uses these to illustrate five branches of life on earth: water-plants, trees, fish, birds and mammals (including man). There is a space for answers from children's instrumental groups, and then a larger space in which the children can develop the given ideas, perhaps with members of the orchestra. Davies returns as composer to depict, through an excess of development, creation turned sour. Finally everyone comes together with a unison hymn, with orchestra and instrumental groups, celebrating the turn of the tide.This work for young instrumentalists, children's chorus and orchestra, was commissioned by the Association of British Orchestras as the centrepiece of an education project which coincided with the implementation of the National Curriculum for music in schools in England and Wales, echoing similar developments in Scotland and Northern Ireland.Score. Steven Sater: A Purple Summer - Notes On The Lyrics Of Spring Awakening

In February 1999, Steven Sater conceived the radical notion of creating a rock musical from Frank Wedekind's notorious Symbolist drama, Frühlings Erwachen, and he enlisted his friend and writing partner Duncan Sheik in the enterprise. That night, Sater came home and began writing the first lyric of Spring Awakening: ?Mama Who Bore Me? ? a lyric which still stands, verbatim, just as he first wrote it.Ten years later, in the wake of the enormous international success of this groundbreaking, multiaward-winning show, its original director, Michael Mayer, urged Sater to write notes explicating its famously evocative, poetic lyrics.In rich detail, Sater's notes address the literary sources and allusions of each lyric. He also writes feelingly of what prompted the songs over the course of the show's eight years of development. In so doing, Sater expands on his partnership with Sheik and his experiences with original cast members, Lea Michele and Jonathan Groff, now also known from Glee.These notes will prove invaluable for fans of the show, for all those interested in theater, and most especially for all the young performers who will play the roles and sing these songs.

Bach's Cello Suites I-III Arranged For Tenor Banjo

Bach's Cello suites are among the most famous solo instrumental works of all time. The Cello and the Tenor Banjo share the same tuning, and Banjo players might be surprised at how well this great music fits on the fretboard. Rob MacKillop has provided tablature for the first three suites. Here is a chance for Tenor Banjo players to explore Bach on their instrument, which could be tuned to either regular, CGDA, or Irish tuning, GDAE. Accompanying audio is included, using three different Tenor Banjo's: a regular tenor (Deering Eagle II), a gourd tenor (Jaybird Banjos), and a Cello Banjo (Gold Toner) which has the same low pitch as the Cello. A `suite' is a collection of dances of varying speeds and time signatures, conceived to be performed as a whole, and preceded by a prelude. Bach's Prelude to the 1st Suite is magnificent and justly famous. The Bourree from the 3rd Suite is also very popular.
