Contrary to the prototype developed by the duo of Digital Reality and Grasshopper Manufacture, the production in question here was created on the initiative of THQ Nordic. The action of Sine Mora EX takes place in a retro-futuristic world. Players find themselves in an exotic land shimmering with a riot of colors, where there is a constant battle between the forces of the Empire and its opponents. During the game, we have the opportunity to visit a large part of it - the struggle takes place against the backdrop of mountain landscapes, under water and by the ocean, as well as among industrial buildings.
The core of Sine Mora EX on the Switch platform, PC etc. is the fight against hordes of enemies. The action is presented from a side perspective, and the player sits at the controls of planes that differ in terms of the weapons installed on them and various gadgets that guarantee an advantage over the adversaries. In addition to standard opponents, which do not require much effort to defeat, bosses from time to time stand in our way. Duels with them require not only proper reflexes, but also the development of an effective tactic. It is worth mentioning that with beginners in mind, three levels of difficulty have been prepared, which define the aggressiveness and number of opponents present on the screen at the same time.
The Sine Mora EX pillar is a story campaign consisting of seven stages. It should be noted that during it, players cannot influence the settings of individual planes - the differences between them depend only on the pilot who takes part in a given mission. Things are different in the special Arcade mode - here we can choose one of fifty combinations of weapons, and our actions are monitored by the scoring system and online rankings.
