A fantastic recorded performance of Mozart's supreme Opera in two acts, The Magic Flute. This was a monumental production on the biggest open-air stage in Europe, performed in 1999 by the Junge Bundeslander Philharmonic Orchestra with the Stagione d?Opera Italiana and Honved Ensemble Budapest choirs, starring soloists Maxim Mihailov, Michael Kurz, Brigit Beer, Erika Mikolsa, Sebastien Holecek and Elisabeth Ofenbock. 100 minutes of live performance and DVD special features include interviews, the making of Die Zauberflote and a synopsis in 6 languages.
