Invacare Flo-shape Cushion - Black

The Invacare Flo-shape cushion is a 103 mm high cushion suitable for those 'At Risk' of developing pressure ulcers. Used predominantly on the Invacare Rea® range of wheelchairs, the cushion allows for pressure redistribution and reduces peak pressure to the most vulnerable areas. Highly versatile, this cushion is also suitable for use on most standard wheelchairs and other seating options. The surface of the Flo-shape cushion is contoured into sections through a mould construction, giving a three-dimensional form that cannot be emulated in cut foam. This allows for weight to be dispersed away from key pressure points. The anatomical shape of the cushion naturally supports the ischial tuberosity, reducing the tendency for the person to slide forwards in the seat which can cause shear and friction. It also provides a stable surface that aids central pelvic placement and improved thigh alignment, making it suitable for those with reduced sitting balance, such as a neurological condition.
