The Stand mount on some less-expensive studio lights doesn’t sit securely on heavy-er duty stands such as C-stands, as the stand mount on them isn’t quite long enough to accommodate the longer baby-pin connector which is typically used on C-stands and other heavy-duty stands. This bundle consists of a 5/8” to 1/4”-20 Thread adapter, and a female 5/8” spigot, which when put together will enable you to mount any light that wouldn’t normally sit securely on a c-stand with no problems Simply remove the nut from the 5/8” Stud to 1/4“-20 thread adapter and screw the female spigot to the thread of the 5/8” Stud to 1/4“-20 thread adapter. Then mount your 5/8” Stud to 1/4“-20 thread adapter to the baby-pin connector of your stand, then connect your light to the female spigot on the female spigot in the same way you would mount it to a regular light stand.
