Vesda VSP-005 VLP VLS VLC amp VLF Filter

Vesda VSP-005 VLP VLS VLC amp VLF Filter

Vesda VSP-005 VLP VLS VLC VLF FilterThe VESDA replacement filter cartridge is used to replace filter cartridges in VESDA LaserCOMPACT LaserFOCUS LaserPLUS and LaserSCANNER detectors. One model fits all detectors.Importance of Changing the FilterThe filters used in VESDA detectors are key to the performance of the detector. VESDA filers remove dust contamination from the sampled air providing a clean air bleed to preserve the optics in the detection chamber. Like any other filter filters in VESDA detectors must be replaced regularly to ensure optimum efficiency. It is recommended that the filter is replaced in the VESDA VLC VLS VLP and VLF every two years to maintain the operational integrity of the detector you may want to consider replacing the filter more frequently if the detector is used in dusty or dirty conditions. Instructions on how to do this can be found in the replacement instructions in the download section below.Replacing the FilterBefore replacing the filter in your detector it may be necessary to advise any monitoring authorities that the detector may be offline for a short period.Ensure that the area surrounding the filter is clear of dirt and debris and remove the filter. Do not attempt to clean and reuse the filter VESDA filters are intended for single-use only. Once the new filter has been inserted the detector needs to be informed that a new filter has been installed.Key FeaturesEasy swap replacement filterFits VLC VLF VLP and VLS VESDA detectorsAvailable singly or in packs of 2090 mm x 63 mm x 30 mm 3.5 in. x 2.5 in. x 1.2 in.

Vesda Xtralis PIP-012 250ml Solvent Cement

Vesda Xtralis 250ml Solvent CementSolvent cement welding is a simple and quick means of constructing high integrity leak free joints. Care must be used to ensure that the correct solvent cement is used and that joining instructions are followed properly. This specially formulated solvent cement is used with ABS pipe and fittings to join the surfaces together. The solvent cement melts the two surfaces to form a chemical weld when applied correctly between the fittings.Key FeaturesSolvent cement for ABSContains 250mlProduct InformationSeparate COSHH statement availableIntended usage Jointing of pipeworkPacking 0.25 litre cans Acorn FireConstituents ABS resin dispersed in MethylEthyl KetoneShelf life 12 months minimumPhysical Product DataBoiling Point 80CVapour pressure 100mm Mercury at 25CVapour density 1.18 at 20C 2.4 at boilingpointSpecific gravity 0.86Solubility in Water MiscibleAppearance Grey opaque fluid Strong odourBefore Applying Solvent CementBe aware at all times of good safety practicesSolvent cements are flammableEliminate all ignition sourcesDo not smoke during use and do not expose to other sources of heat or flame in working or storage areasAvoid breathing vaporsUse only with adequate ventilationExplosion proof mechanical ventilation or local exhaust is recommended to maintain vapor concentrations below recommended exposure limitsIn confined areas a NIOSH approved organic vapor cartridge respirator with full-face piece is recommendedCement should be stored in the shade at temperatures between 40F and 110F Acorn FireContainers should be kept tightly closed when not in use and covered as much as possible during useAvoid contact with eyes.Splash proof chemical goggles are recommendedAvoid frequent contact with skinWearing PVA coated gloves and an impervious apron are recommendedSolvent cements have a limited shelf life and must be used prior to the expiration dateRefer to printed warnings on cement can and Material Safety Datasheets for additional informationWARNINGSolvent cement and cleanersARE HAZARDOUSFLAMMABLE MATERIALS. Vesda Xtralis REDFLEXI25B 25mm Flexible 1m Long Bend

Vesda Xtralis REDFLEXI25B 25mm Flexible 1m Long Bend

Vesda Xtralis REDFLEXI25B 25mm Flexible 1m Long BendWith over 250000 aspirating smoke detectors installed worldwide the VESDA name has become synonymous with high quality and outstanding performance. An aspirating smoke detection system however only performs at its best with a well designed and installed quality pipework system. Xtralis manufacturer of VESDA detectors recognised this requirement and in 1997 launched its VESDA Pipe and Fittings range.Always use tools specifically designed forplastic pipe.Protective gloves are recommended for usewhen solvent cementing. If hands come into contact with cement use a waterless abrasive soap.Avoid sources of heat or open flames when solvent cementing. Do not smoke.Always chamfer and deburr pipe ends.Use the proper solvent cement note air shipments of solvent cement are forbidden by law.Always replace lids on cans when not in use.Never dilute solvent cement.Keep jointing surfaces dry in wet weather.Avoid direct inhalation of fumes. Use in a well-ventilated area.Wipe up spills or leaks immediately with clean lint free cloth or paper towels.Follow recommended cure times prior to testing the system.Prevent excessive solvent cement from running into the pipe or fitting socket. The Integrity of air sampling systems may be affected if proper CPVC solvent cement is not used. The Safety Crewdisclaims responsibility for any air sampling pipe system constructed with cements other than those recommended. Please note The PIP-021 is equivalent to the REDFLXI25B.
