Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War for PC is a classic turn-based strategy game that uses the 4X formula popularized by the Civilization series. The game was developed by the German studio Proxy, which already has two similar titles (Pandora: Eclipse of Nashira and Pandora: First Contact).
Story
Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War takes place in the science fiction universe Warhammer 40,000, created by the British company Games Workshop for the purpose of the figurative battle system. The production takes players to the eponymous planet Gladius Prime, hiding many forgotten secrets and ancient artifacts on its surface. Four factions are fighting for control of these treasures - Orcs, Necrons, Space Marines and Astra Militarum (Imperial Guard). Each of the factions received a unique storyline and special missions.
Gameplay
The gameplay in Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War takes place in turns and does not differ from the standards adopted by the canon of the genre. Each party has unique units, technological development trees, as well as a development and combat strategy. Players gradually expand their territory by building cities, forts, and discovering new technologies.
All these activities are financed thanks to the resources being mined. Various combat units are at our disposal. During the skirmishes, they gain experience and new abilities. We fight not only with competing factions, but also with various types of monsters inhabiting Gladius Prime.
