It is great for all kinds of creative projects where you use very thick materials. You can also use very strong upholstery thread in outdoor projects, e.g. when you make Dralon hammocks and similar projects. Our very strong upholstery thread is OEKO-TEX 100 certified.

Fabric for the Sun's Rays  Starting a DIY project that will be exposed to the sun's rays? This fabric is extra lightfast, ensuring your project retains the colours you've chosen.     The fabric has a surface reminiscent of cotton, but it is made of 100% acrylic and thus has all the properties you need when sewing for outdoor environments.     Comfortable and Practical  You get a material that is water-resistant and UV-resistant, while still feeling like cotton and allowing the skin to breathe when you sit on it.     Use this fabric to sew cushions and pads for the sofa or the chairs and loungers in your outdoor setting. And sew lovely decorative cushions that you can take in the caravan or on the boat.     What is cerdalon?  Cerdalon is made from coloured acrylic fibres. It's suitable for outdoor upholstery, being resistant to chlorine and salt water, having a high lightfastness and good wear resistance. Cerdalon is available in solid colours and yarn-dyed stripes.    Purchase the length you need for your project and remember the right sewing needles – we recommend using universal needles in size 90/100.    Furthermore, we recommend ironing it regularly to restore its water and dirt repellent properties

You can expect it to shrink about 3% in the wash (the fabric can be washed at 40°). Therefore, we recommend that you wash the fabric before sewing your project to ensure the best result.

And a little tip: You can advantageously increase the stitch length to get a nice finished look.
