Design: Jørn Utzon for LYFA, 1948 Concept: SUNDOWNER 175 is an iconic lamp, designed by Danish Jørn Utzon in 1948. The lamp is inspired by the unique shell-shaped arches seen on the Sydney waterfront, where Utzon's masterpiece, the Opera House, can also be seen. SUNDOWNER consists of a four-shade construction, where the light is diffused and focuses on the elegant shapes, which help to create a pleasant light inspired by a sunset. The lamp comes in several different sizes, such as 175, 250 and 400. The color of this lamp is inspired by Jørn Utzon's idyllic retreat in Mallorca, which he built for his wife in the 1970s. The building is designed to absorb light and focus on the traditional Mallorcan Marés sand dunes, which give a raw and dusty pink glow. Based on this, LYFA has created a special SUNDOWNER edition in the gray- beige- pink tones called 'Mallorcan', as a tribute to Utzon. The lamp is dimmable, compatible with a dimmable lightbulb. The canopy is white and measures Ø9x7.5 cm.

Design: Bent Karlby for LYFA, 1946 Concept: PEANUT 400 A lamp designed based on Bent Karlby's hatred of the then prominent fluorescent tubes. His negative attitude towards the cold and harsh light that fluorescent tubes offered meant that he wanted to go the opposite direction and create a lamp that had soft shapes and a pleasant light. The PEANUT lamp houses a design that has only become more popular over time. The stylish mouth-blown opal glass, combined with a brass top and base, creates a lamp that would undoubtedly fit anywhere in the home, whether it hangs over the dining table, the sofa, or as lighting over the kitchen counter. This pendant also clearly reflects LYFA's ideology that form should follow function, and not the other way around. At the bottom of PEANUT there is a diffuser that can be removed if needed, should you want a more direct light on the dining table or workstation. The pendant has even been exhibited at the famous Louvre museum in Paris, and with good reason. Whether it is turned off or on, DIVAN 2 is more than just a lamp.
