ForgeFix ForgeFast Wood Screws have a universally accepted, Torx compatible drive. Their recessed ribs provide improved countersinking and reduced surface dust, and their reinforced countersunk necks improve holding power. The screws have a patented drill and drive thread for reduced splitting of the timber, reduced 'jacking' and spinning of joined timber, increased pull-out and a firmer fix. A sharp point provides faster bite and is capable of piercing 0.8mm steel. The screws have an 'Elementech 400' coating providing an anti-corrosive metal finish, which lasts up to 6 times longer than standard zinc coatings. The coating is environmentally friendly and does not contain Cr6+. It is Salt Spray tested to 400 hours. The screws are suitable for interior use. Every box is supplied with a Torx compatible bit.

Spectre by Forgefix, incorporates a long list of advanced screw features, often only found in premium screws, into what we've named advanced multi-purpose wood screws. They feature a countersunk, pozidrive compatible, recessed head. Fully threaded, up to 50mm, with a sawtooth thread, to prevent splitting, and reamer to prevent jacking (50mm and above). They are also surface hardened with a quick start type 17 slash point. The screws have a zinc yellow passivated finish for excellent resistance to corrosion. Zinc yellow passivation process of electroplating is similar to the 'galvanised' and 'zinc plated' processes, but with the addition of a yellow dye. It offers an aesthetically pleasing finish. CE approved for use in load-bearing timber construction.

These Forgefix Phillips, single thread Drywall Screws have a black phosphate finish for increased durability. Boxes of 500 and 1,000 come complete with a Phillips No.2 insert bit. Their Bugle Head allows the screw to sink effortlessly into the dry lining without the need for countersinking, which in turn minimises the damage to the surface. APPLICATION:Designed for fitting dry linings to studding. Phosphate coatings are made up of thin crystalline layers of phosphate compounds that adhere to the surface of the fixing or fastener. The phosphate crystals are porous and can be formed from zinc, manganese, or iron phosphate solutions. Phosphate coatings offer good corrosion resistance and have an excellent ability to absorb supplementary coatings which improves appearance, corrosion resistance and resistance to abrasion. The Phillips screw has four simple tapered slots. It is designed so that a Phillips tip screwdriver can turn a Phillips screw with increasing torque. When the torque gets to be too strong for the tip then the screwdriver tip winds itself out of the screw thus preventing over-tightening and or damage to the screw head. Coarse thread screws (mainly drywall screws) have an extremely sharp point and are designed to penetrate plasterboard skin. The coarse thread eases in to the board then the timber baton holding the board firm.

The thread is serrated for improved pull-out and reduced torque when inserting the screw. The double cutting point allows faster drilling time and reduced clogging of wood dust and is capable of piercing 0.8mm steel. The screws have a 'Elementech 400' coating providing an anti-corrosive metal finish, which lasts up to 6 times longer than standard zinc coatings.
