Pankapu is a two-dimensional platformer financed on the Kickstarter website. Its production is the responsibility of a small French studio Too Kind, for which this is the first project. The publishing side of the game was taken care of by a division of Plug In Digital - Plug In Digital Label, which helps independent developers.
Story
The plot in Pankap is told in two directions . On the one hand, we are dealing with a fantastic story about brave Pankap, read by a father to his child Jaha'rell. It is related to the actual gameplay, in which we play the role of the aforementioned warrior , created by the god of dreams, and our task is to get rid of the nightmares that haunt the world called Omnia. On the other hand, in the meantime, we also learn a much darker story of Jaha'rell's life, but in this case we only follow his fate, having no direct influence on the course of events .
Gameplay
Pankapu is a classic two-dimensional action platformer. Players find themselves in a fantastic world full of various dangers. Fortunately, Pankapu is not defenseless and can fight nightmares (various bats and other monsters) in many ways. The basic one is a sword, but the hero can take other forms in the blink of an eye, e.g. become an archer . Thanks to this, you can quickly adapt to specific situations, because individual forms are characterized by unique attacks. Fighting is not everything, because, as in any decent platformer, also here we have to avoid various obstacles - spikes protruding from the ground, chasms, etc. There are also various secrets waiting to be discovered in the game.
