New Gundam Breaker is the fourth installment of the Gundam Breaker series, launched in 2013 with the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita consoles. The described production was released on the PC and PS4 platform. It is also worth mentioning that this is the first part of the series to appear on personal computers.
Like the previous installments of the series, this one belongs to the genre of three-dimensional brawlers, i.e. walking fights. While playing, we take control of Gunpla. These are toy models of robots from the famous anime Gundam, in fact sold since 1980. In New Gundam Breaker, practically all the copies used in the previous parts and a few new ones are available. The only exception is the SD Gundam models that do not appear in the game.
The mechanics of the game have not changed significantly. The game is about team duels 3 vs. 3, during which you have to not only fight, but also perform tasks assigned by the game. The action takes place, among others in a store or in a factory, on boards of quite large sizes, which allows you to move freely in all directions. Combat is arcade, although it also requires the use of various tactics. In New Gundam Breaker, developers used special internal frames known from modern MG / RG / PG Gundam sets. They are the basis of our robots, and also affect their abilities and roles in the team. We control toys in the game, so one of the most important aspects of the game is the ability to modify them. Players can create their units by replacing and painting a number of parts - from legs to weapons. We buy individual elements in a special store, or use those dropped by defeated opponents.
