Rebel Straight Bourbon Whiskey - French Oak Barrel Finish 70cl

Rebel Straight Bourbon Whiskey - French Oak Barrel Finish 70cl

Rebel Straight Bourbon Whiskey - Cognac Barrel Finish 70cl

Rebel Straight Bourbon Whiskey - Cognac Barrel Finish 70cl

Rebel Straight Bourbon Whiskey - Cognac Barrel Finish Founded in 1849 by William Larue Weller, Rebel have been defying trends since the very beginning. At that time the everyone was creating bourbon using a rye mashbill. They decided to do things differently, and pioneered wheat-based bourbon.  Now, over 170 years later, they continue to defy trends - whilst also winning awards with their wheated recipe.   There are a number of requirements for a Bourbon to be labelled as a 'straight bourbon'. They need to have been aged for a minimum of two years (and if under four, the age must be shown), and not have any added colouring, flavouring or other spirits For their Cognac Barrel Finish (which is produced exclusively for the EU market), they take their original Rebel Straight Bourbon (which is aged for at least 4 years in American Oak), and give it a final ageing in cognac barrels for a further 6 months. This adds additional depth and flavour to the already delicious Bourbon! It's colour is a bright amber, which gives aromas full of ripe fruite and berries and sweet honey. Vanilla, caramel and a hint of oak come through too. The flavour remains full, like the original. Dried fruits, rich plums, sultanas and vanilla all come through. It finishes with a defined warmth and lingers pleasantly on the palate. More from Rebel Perfect Serve This is deliciously smooth, and we feel best enjoyed neat, on the rocks (so as to appreciate the nuances from the cognac barrel finish).

Spirited Union Bee Free Honey Rum Liqueur 70cl

Spirited Union Bee Free Honey Rum Liqueur 70cl

Spirited Union Bee Free Honey Rum Liqueur Spirited Union are mixing things up in the rum world and have created a vibrant and exciting selection of rums. By exploring the colourful (and tasty) world of botanicals, which you may usually see in other sprits, they have made combinations which are absolutely delicious. Using only the freshest botanicals ensures each rum has a natural taste and without losing flavours or aromas during the re-distillation and maceration process. Spirited Union Bee Free Honey Liqueur was created to highlight the plight of wild bees, drawing attention to their vulnerable position. But how do you make a honey rum without actual honey?  Firstly, Spirited Union selected a single origin rum from the Dominican Republic, made from sugar cane and aged locally. This gives the rum base its rich taste and character which is then complimented by subtle honey notes from the honey bush (a tea from the Western Cape of South Africa). This sustainable and eco-friendly crop grows naturally and has a natural sweetness with notes of honey and caramel, and with a subtle floral aroma. With juicy aromas of sweet orange and rosemary, this delicious rum liqueur will treat you to a lingering mouthfeel.  More from Spirited Union Perfect Serve This delicious rum liqueur can be enjoyed neat, or as a mixed drink. Create the perfect pairing of honey and ginger - add 50ml rum into a glass with ice and top up with 150-200ml of Fentimans Ginger Ale for a delicious and refreshing drink.

Dead Man's Fingers Pineapple Rum 70cl

Dead Man's Fingers Pineapple Rum 70cl

Dead Man's Fingers Pineapple Rum Created at a famous seafood restaurant in Cornwall (a county in the very south-west of the UK) called the Rum & Crab Shack, they wanted to do things a little different..... "We looked at what everyone else was doing, then we did the opposite" Why Dead Man's Fingers?.... this was actually inspired by one of the most popular items on the menu. Crab is exceptionally popular, and the long, finger-like gills inside the crab are called ‘dead man’s fingers’ (folklore says if you eat them, you'll die..... this isn't true, they're just not the tastiest, so are removed and discarded). Keeping in the spirit of their previous creations, with their Pineapple Rum Dead Man's Fingers have kept with the ethos that "unusual tastes delicious". They took inspiration from their original Spiced rum and crafter a new variant. This one is a rum crafted with delicious sweet notes of roasted and candied pineapple. They've kept it well balanced, with hints of soft brown sugar, nutmeg and a whiff of aniseed and lime zest. This is a really refreshing rum, and works well on its own but particularly well in the mix. A perfect summer rum. More from Dead Man's Fingers Perfect Serve With the pineapple flavours, this works particularly well as a Dead Tropical cocktail. Take a large glass and will with ice cubes. Add 50ml of the rum and then gently pour over 200ml of Fever-Tree Premium Lemonade. Stir gently, and add the juice of a lime. Garnish with a sprig of mint, and a lime slice.

Dead Man's Fingers Hazelnut Rum 70cl

Dead Man's Fingers Hazelnut Rum 70cl

Dead Man's Fingers Hazelnut Rum Created at a famous seafood restaurant in Cornwall (a county in the very south-west of the UK) called the Rum & Crab Shack, they wanted to do things a little different..... With their Hazelnut Rum, Dead Man's Fingers have created another delicious variation of their spiced rum. The nutty aroma of toasted hazelnuts, a hint of chocolate and sweet vanilla is hard to resist, and with the flavour mirroring the delicious aroma, the nutty smoothness continues. Finishing with a dusting of cocoa and of course the delicious spice, how can you resist? More from Dead Man's Fingers Perfect Serve This rum is a great all-rounder. For a refreshing long drink, pour 50ml Hazelnut Rum into a glass full of ice and top up with 150-200ml Fever-tree Distiller Cola - the vanilla in the cola works perfectly.  If you love milk, then this is ideal in a boozy milkshake (chocolate or vanilla) or add a splash to your latte. For the cocktail lovers, it's a great alternative in an Old fashioned. Add 50ml Hazelnut Rum with 10ml simple syrup and a dash or 2 of angostura bitters, and garnish with a maraschino cherry.

Bombay Sapphire Premier Cru Murcian Lemon Gin 70cl

Bombay Sapphire Premier Cru Murcian Lemon Gin 70cl

Bombay Sapphire Premier Cru Murcian Lemon Gin Whilst citrus fruits are not new to Bombay Sapphire, for their Premier Cru edition they have really put citrus front and centre. The Spanish region of Murcia sits in a basin between mountain and sea, and creates a microclimate which is perfect for growing citrus. They slowly ripen during the winter months, and ensure fruit which has the best flavour and impactful taste. In this edition Bombay Sapphire take Fino lemons from this region (hand picked when at their ripest, and then hand peeled), as well as mandarins and sweet navel oranges. These are distilled using vapour infusion, which preserved more of the flavours at a lower temperature. The alcohol content in this gin is also slightly higher than usual, which captures perfectly the bold citrus flavours.  The aroma is fullof zesty citrus aromas of orange and lemon, which are backed up by a spicy pine note. There's also a hint of woody hop like aromas. The flavours are full of citrus, but they do not overwhelm, and subtle and delicious. Hints of cracked pepper join piney juniper in a long and delicious finish. Read more about Bombay Sapphire Perfect Serve This is a deliciously citrus gin, and makes a really refreshing Gin & Tonic. It also works well in the mix, particularly in a French 75 cocktail, or a classic Martini. For an invigorating gin & tonic take a large glass filled with ice and add 50ml of the gin. Gently pour over 150ml of a neutral tonic (we like Fentimans Indian Tonic Water) and stir gently. Garnish with a slice of lemon.

St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur 70cl

St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur 70cl

St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur Whilst the bottle may look like this delicious liqueur has been made for decades, it was actually launched in 2007. During a visit to a London bar in 2001, the creator (Robert Cooper) had a craft elderflower cocktail which used elderflower syrup in its creation. Finding the drink delicious he wondered if there was a way to create a liqueur which captured these flavours. Coming from a distilling background, he embarked on a mission to do just this. In 2007 St. Germain was launched, and has since gone on to win numerous awards, and fast become a staple in cocktails and cocktail bars around the world. The bottle itself is inspired by the Saint-Germain-des-Prés area of Paris, and the Art-Deco motifs found there.  The creation uses petals from the Elderflower (Sambucus nigra) petals which are collected in the Savoie region of France over a period of a few weeks in the spring. These are then often transported by bike to ensure no damage to the delicate petals. Each bottle is numbered with the year the petals were collected. The flavour itself is quite unique, and this is one of the reasons it's become so popular - there's just nothing else quite like it! It has a light, sweet and floral flavour - which really captures the elderflowers in both aroma and flavour. It captures notes of citrus, pear and also passionfruit. The finish is long and refreshing - and feels perfectly balanced. Perfect Serve Delicious enjoyed on its own with soda water, but also really lifts cocktails. Try a French Gimlet Cocktail, or St. Germain French 75.  It also adds a delicious floral sweetness when added to a Gin & Tonic too. Truly versatile - this is one we love at Gin Fling!
