Rebel Straight Bourbon Whiskey - French Oak Barrel Finish 70cl

Rebel Straight Bourbon Whiskey - French Oak Barrel Finish 70cl

Rebel Straight Bourbon Whiskey - Cognac Barrel Finish 70cl

Rebel Straight Bourbon Whiskey - Cognac Barrel Finish 70cl

Rebel Straight Bourbon Whiskey - Cognac Barrel Finish Founded in 1849 by William Larue Weller, Rebel have been defying trends since the very beginning. At that time the everyone was creating bourbon using a rye mashbill. They decided to do things differently, and pioneered wheat-based bourbon.  Now, over 170 years later, they continue to defy trends - whilst also winning awards with their wheated recipe.   There are a number of requirements for a Bourbon to be labelled as a 'straight bourbon'. They need to have been aged for a minimum of two years (and if under four, the age must be shown), and not have any added colouring, flavouring or other spirits For their Cognac Barrel Finish (which is produced exclusively for the EU market), they take their original Rebel Straight Bourbon (which is aged for at least 4 years in American Oak), and give it a final ageing in cognac barrels for a further 6 months. This adds additional depth and flavour to the already delicious Bourbon! It's colour is a bright amber, which gives aromas full of ripe fruite and berries and sweet honey. Vanilla, caramel and a hint of oak come through too. The flavour remains full, like the original. Dried fruits, rich plums, sultanas and vanilla all come through. It finishes with a defined warmth and lingers pleasantly on the palate. More from Rebel Perfect Serve This is deliciously smooth, and we feel best enjoyed neat, on the rocks (so as to appreciate the nuances from the cognac barrel finish).

Spirited Union Bee Free Honey Rum Liqueur 70cl

Spirited Union Bee Free Honey Rum Liqueur 70cl

Spirited Union Bee Free Honey Rum Liqueur Spirited Union are mixing things up in the rum world and have created a vibrant and exciting selection of rums. By exploring the colourful (and tasty) world of botanicals, which you may usually see in other sprits, they have made combinations which are absolutely delicious. Using only the freshest botanicals ensures each rum has a natural taste and without losing flavours or aromas during the re-distillation and maceration process. Spirited Union Bee Free Honey Liqueur was created to highlight the plight of wild bees, drawing attention to their vulnerable position. But how do you make a honey rum without actual honey?  Firstly, Spirited Union selected a single origin rum from the Dominican Republic, made from sugar cane and aged locally. This gives the rum base its rich taste and character which is then complimented by subtle honey notes from the honey bush (a tea from the Western Cape of South Africa). This sustainable and eco-friendly crop grows naturally and has a natural sweetness with notes of honey and caramel, and with a subtle floral aroma. With juicy aromas of sweet orange and rosemary, this delicious rum liqueur will treat you to a lingering mouthfeel.  More from Spirited Union Perfect Serve This delicious rum liqueur can be enjoyed neat, or as a mixed drink. Create the perfect pairing of honey and ginger - add 50ml rum into a glass with ice and top up with 150-200ml of Fentimans Ginger Ale for a delicious and refreshing drink.

Dead Man's Fingers Pineapple Rum 70cl

Dead Man's Fingers Pineapple Rum 70cl

Dead Man's Fingers Pineapple Rum Created at a famous seafood restaurant in Cornwall (a county in the very south-west of the UK) called the Rum & Crab Shack, they wanted to do things a little different..... "We looked at what everyone else was doing, then we did the opposite" Why Dead Man's Fingers?.... this was actually inspired by one of the most popular items on the menu. Crab is exceptionally popular, and the long, finger-like gills inside the crab are called ‘dead man’s fingers’ (folklore says if you eat them, you'll die..... this isn't true, they're just not the tastiest, so are removed and discarded). Keeping in the spirit of their previous creations, with their Pineapple Rum Dead Man's Fingers have kept with the ethos that "unusual tastes delicious". They took inspiration from their original Spiced rum and crafter a new variant. This one is a rum crafted with delicious sweet notes of roasted and candied pineapple. They've kept it well balanced, with hints of soft brown sugar, nutmeg and a whiff of aniseed and lime zest. This is a really refreshing rum, and works well on its own but particularly well in the mix. A perfect summer rum. More from Dead Man's Fingers Perfect Serve With the pineapple flavours, this works particularly well as a Dead Tropical cocktail. Take a large glass and will with ice cubes. Add 50ml of the rum and then gently pour over 200ml of Fever-Tree Premium Lemonade. Stir gently, and add the juice of a lime. Garnish with a sprig of mint, and a lime slice.

Bombay Sapphire Premier Cru Murcian Lemon Gin 70cl

Bombay Sapphire Premier Cru Murcian Lemon Gin 70cl

Bombay Sapphire Premier Cru Murcian Lemon Gin Whilst citrus fruits are not new to Bombay Sapphire, for their Premier Cru edition they have really put citrus front and centre. The Spanish region of Murcia sits in a basin between mountain and sea, and creates a microclimate which is perfect for growing citrus. They slowly ripen during the winter months, and ensure fruit which has the best flavour and impactful taste. In this edition Bombay Sapphire take Fino lemons from this region (hand picked when at their ripest, and then hand peeled), as well as mandarins and sweet navel oranges. These are distilled using vapour infusion, which preserved more of the flavours at a lower temperature. The alcohol content in this gin is also slightly higher than usual, which captures perfectly the bold citrus flavours.  The aroma is fullof zesty citrus aromas of orange and lemon, which are backed up by a spicy pine note. There's also a hint of woody hop like aromas. The flavours are full of citrus, but they do not overwhelm, and subtle and delicious. Hints of cracked pepper join piney juniper in a long and delicious finish. Read more about Bombay Sapphire Perfect Serve This is a deliciously citrus gin, and makes a really refreshing Gin & Tonic. It also works well in the mix, particularly in a French 75 cocktail, or a classic Martini. For an invigorating gin & tonic take a large glass filled with ice and add 50ml of the gin. Gently pour over 150ml of a neutral tonic (we like Fentimans Indian Tonic Water) and stir gently. Garnish with a slice of lemon.

Dead Man's Fingers Coconut Rum 70cl

Dead Man's Fingers Coconut Rum 70cl

Dead Man's Fingers Coconut Rum Created at a famous seafood restaurant in Cornwall (a county in the very south-west of the UK) called the Rum & Crab Shack, they wanted to do things a little different..... "We looked at what everyone else was doing, then we did the opposite" Why Dead Man's Fingers?.... this was actually inspired by one of the most popular items on the menu. Keeping in the spirit of their previous creations, with their Coconut Rum Dead Man's Fingers have created a truly tropical inspired rum. Within this rum you won't only find elements of coconut. They have truly embraced the tropical flavours, and you'll also enjoy juicy mango, raisins, caramel and a slight citrusy trace of lime peel. This is then balanced by just the right amount of vanilla and a dash of clove. Gently pour in 60ml of your favourite cola (we think this works well with Fentimans Curiosity Cola). Garnish with slices of lemon and lime. Also great in a smoothie. St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur 70cl

St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur 70cl

St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur Whilst the bottle may look like this delicious liqueur has been made for decades, it was actually launched in 2007. During a visit to a London bar in 2001, the creator (Robert Cooper) had a craft elderflower cocktail which used elderflower syrup in its creation. Finding the drink delicious he wondered if there was a way to create a liqueur which captured these flavours. Coming from a distilling background, he embarked on a mission to do just this. In 2007 St. Germain was launched, and has since gone on to win numerous awards, and fast become a staple in cocktails and cocktail bars around the world. The bottle itself is inspired by the Saint-Germain-des-Prés area of Paris, and the Art-Deco motifs found there.  The creation uses petals from the Elderflower (Sambucus nigra) petals which are collected in the Savoie region of France over a period of a few weeks in the spring. These are then often transported by bike to ensure no damage to the delicate petals. Each bottle is numbered with the year the petals were collected. The flavour itself is quite unique, and this is one of the reasons it's become so popular - there's just nothing else quite like it! It has a light, sweet and floral flavour - which really captures the elderflowers in both aroma and flavour. It captures notes of citrus, pear and also passionfruit. The finish is long and refreshing - and feels perfectly balanced. Perfect Serve Delicious enjoyed on its own with soda water, but also really lifts cocktails. Try a French Gimlet Cocktail, or St. Germain French 75.  It also adds a delicious floral sweetness when added to a Gin & Tonic too. Truly versatile - this is one we love at Gin Fling!

Lonewolf Bramble and Raspberry Gin 70cl

Lonewolf Bramble and Raspberry Gin 70cl

Lonewolf Bramble and Raspberry Gin Whilst they may be better known for their world class beer, Brewdog have also had great success since launching their range of spirits. With their gins they felt the majority of gins had become mainstream. In their words: "Dainty botanicals and floral nonsense are the norm, and they’re masking all kinds of sins." They start by creating their own Abstrakt Vodka which is used as the base spirit for their gins. They do this to ensure the quality of the spirit from start to finish. They then go big and bold with their flavours (using up to 5 times the amount of juniper typical in craft gins) crafting their gin in the world’s first triple bubble copper-pot still. This is done at their distillery in Aberdeenshire (in North Scotland).  Good to know: Every bottle of gin created is carbon neutral Their gins are created with big, bold flavours using their bespoke copper pot stills. Like the wolf from which they took inspiration with their gins, each is wildly different. Made in Scotland, they use a unique blend of botanicals to create some something uniquely different in each bottle.  In their Bramble and Raspberry gin, Lonewolf have created a gin which is positively bursting with notes of freshly harvested berries. This is truly a feast for the taste buds, with ripe and juicy fruit flavours dancing over your tongue. Whilst their signature Tuscan Juniper remains strong, the rich jammy raspberries perfectly blend creating something unique. More from Brewdog Perfect Serve For a delicious Gin & Tonic take a large glass and fill with ice. Add 50ml of the gin and pour over 150 - 200ml of your chosen tonic (we like Franklin & Sons Light Tonic for this). Stir gently and garnish with a wedge of lime and some raspberries (fresh or dried).

Blacks Irish Whiskey Maple Mayhem 70cl

Blacks Irish Whiskey Maple Mayhem 70cl

Blacks Irish Whiskey Maple Mayhem Located on the Wild Atlantic Way (a scenic route in the south of Ireland), The Blacks Brewery was started in 2013. A family run company, it is owned and operated by Sam & Maudeline Black (hence the name!). Their ethos was to create (initially) beers which weren't mass market. They wanted products with passion and personality. In 2015 they decided to expand and added a state-of-the-art distillery which allowed them to produce spirits as well. Their first was gin, which was followed in 2018 with the first Irish Rum, and then in 2020 with whiskey. This cross-over also allow them to age their beers in spirit barrels, and vice versa - adding additional depths of flavour to their drinks. Blacks' whiskies are distilled in two copper stills, Morrigan and Bonny. They then mature the whiskies in a variety of different cask types depending on the finished whisky. They do all their own milling, mashing, fermenting and distilling themselves - which ensures the quality they expect from the final products. For their Maple Mayhem edition (which is non chill filtered), Blacks age their whiskey in maple bourbon casks. As Blacks put it, this gives the whiskey a delicious 'kiss' of vanilla and maple. On the nose there is a sweet introduction, as warm sugar notes come through. These are then joined by a hint of smoke, vanilla, maple and even baked prunes! The palate is smooth and oily, which coats the mouth well. Maple coated nutes, cinnamon pancakes and warm spice develop. This leads to a medium finish, not overwhelming the palate. Maple, oaky wood and a touch of smoke linger. More from Blacks Perfect Serve We recommend this is enjoyed straight up. However, as with all whiskey, enjoy however you like!

Generous Gin 70cl

Generous Gin 70cl

Generous Gin Sometimes simplicity can deliver the best, or most flavourful experiences. It was this ethos that the creators of Generous followed when creating their gin.  They wanted an original, easy to drink and appreciate gin, one which was simple but would deliver the best Gin & Tonic. They used great natural ingredients, and produced in high precision small pot-stills. Being a French gin, they worked like they might do with a great perfume, or fine wine. Ensured it was well balanced, smooth and aromatic, and above all, elegant (it is French after all!). The botanicals they finally chose were Juniper, citrus, mandarin, red pepper, jasmine and elderflower. Depending on the botanical, they either macerate the botanical, or distill, to ensure the flavours are captured and not destroyed. On the nose, whilst juniper is the dominant aroma, it is softened by the floral notes of jasmine and elderflower. When tasting the flavours open up on the palate, with citrus and spice coming forward, before they are balanced by the juniper. Finally, floral notes helps to soften, with almost sweet jasmines notes tantalising the mouth. The finish is refreshing and long, with the delicate spice of red pepper remaining to the end merging perfectly with citrus fruits and juniper. Read more about Generous Perfect Serve As this was made to be enjoyed as a classic, elegant gin & tonic, we suggest their signature serve. Take a large copa glass and fill with ice. Add 40ml of the gin, and gently pour over 100ml of your chosen tonic (we like Fentimans Connoiseurs Tonic). Stir gently, and garnish with a few fresh basil leaves, a small pinch of salt and a few red peppercorns.

Gin Mare Capri 70cl

Gin Mare Capri 70cl

Gin Mare Capri A place which conjures images of elegance, style and the Italian lifestyle.... the island of Capri, in the gulf of Naples. It is from here that Gin Mare have taken inspiration for their new Gin, ten years after creating their iconic Mediterranean gin. In a beautiful blue glass bottle, inspiration has been taken from the famous Blue Caves of Capri, and the quality feel continues with a canvas printed label. A collar label, in the shape of the Island rounds this off hung delicately from the neck of the bottle. Two new ingredients make themselves known in this edition; In keeping with their other botanicals (all from the mediterranean region) these are Lemons from Capri and bergamot. These are added to the distinctive, mediterranean botanicals found in Gin Mare, being Arbequina Olives from Spain, Basil from Italy, Rosemary from Greece, and Thyme from Turkey. They keep the same artisinal approach in making this gin as they do in the original Gin Mare. The citrus fruits are all peeled by hand, before being macerated for 12 months in small containers. This ensures a real depth of flavour. The flavours and aromas of this edition are reminiscent of its older brother, but with the added enrichment of deeper herbal and citrus profiles (both in taste, and aroma) from the lemons and bergamot. Read more about Gin Mare Perfect Serve Like its older brother, the flavours in this gin stand for themselves, and work particulary well with Fentimans Connoisseurs Tonic Water (it doesn't overpower the gin, and allows the additional botanicals to come through). Use 50ml of gin with 150 / 200ml (depending how strong you like it), combine over ice in a large copa-glass and garnish with a sprig of rosemary and a slice of lemon.

Sir Edmond Gin 70cl

Sir Edmond Gin 70cl

Sir Edmond Gin Named after Edmond Albius, a slave born in Sainte-Suzanne, a commune on the north coast of the French island of Réunion in the early 1800's. Edmond Albius single handedly changed the future of vanilla, and its cultivation, by finding a way to quickly and profitably pollinate the plants. Something reknowned botanists at the time had failed to do. And all at the age of 12! This Dutch gin is infused with vanilla pods from Réunion Island, which is the main flavour profile in the gin (along with juniper obviously). It also features angelica root, cardamom, ginger, and cinnamon. The warm sweetness of the vanilla comes through clearly both in the aroma, and on the palate, while its earthiness is complemented by the juniper and cardamom. Good to know.... For every bottle sold, Sir Edmond Gin make a contribution to the African Wildlife Foundation. This Kenya based charity dedicates its passion and funds to wildlife conservation and habitat protection, but also to community empowerment and economic development. Perfect Serve To create a delicious gin and tonic, take a large copa glass and fill with ice. Pour over 50ml of the gin, and then top up with 150ml of Fever-Tree Indian Tonic Water. Garnish with a slice of orange and a cinnamon stick. To spice things up a little, mix with Fever-Tree Ginger Ale instead of tonic. For the cocktail lovers, the vanilla taste is perfect for an Espresso Martini. Add 50ml Sir Edmond Gin, 30ml fresh pressed espresso, 15ml frangelico and 10ml vanilla syrup into a cocktail shaker. Fill with ice, shake well and then double strain into a cooled martini glass and top with 3 coffee beans to garnish.

Glendalough Wild Botanical Irish Gin 70cl

Glendalough Wild Botanical Irish Gin 70cl

Glendalough Wild Botanical Irish Gin Created by a group of friends who came from County Wicklow and Dublin, The Glendalough Distilley was born of a passion to revive the heritage of craft distilling in Ireland. Glendalough itself is one of the most picturesque and visited valleys in Ireland. It is situated in County Wicklow, just south of Dublin within the Wicklow mountains. Fun Fact: The monk with his arms raised, seen on all Glendalough's bottles, is St. Kevin of Glendalough. An Irish legend, originally born of Irish Royalty who was said to have lived over 1400 years ago.  It is the beauty, and bounty of County Wicklow which inspired their Wild Botanical Gin. For each distillation the distillery's full time forager goes into mountains around the distillery. They harvest sustainably - ensuring they do not over-forage. Then, what is picked is put into the still within a few hours ensuring the oils, fragrances and flavours are captured. For this reason, each small batch of 250 litres will taste slightly different. The result is a deliciously fragrant gin has grapefruit and pine from the juniper. Hints of heather and rose petals also come through. Overall this is a fresh and vibrant gin.  The distillery believe that "With each taste, this gin transports you to a place and time in our home - the Wicklow Mountains." More from Glendalough Perfect Serve This can easily be enjoyed with a neutral tonic, such as Three Cents Tonic Water. However any quality neutral tonic will work well. For something a little different, this also works well with their Aegean Tonic Water. Take a large glass filled with ice and add 50ml of the gin. Gently pour over 150 - 200ml of your chosen tonic and stir gently. Garnish simply with a few juniper berries. This also works perfect in the mix - how about trying a Bee's Knees Cocktail?

Daffy's Gin 70cl

Daffy's Gin 70cl

Daffy's Gin Whilst this gin is made in the middle of Scotland (UK), the makers looked the world over for the best ingredients. This was because they wanted to create a gin which was "a gin like no other". They start by using pure wheat grain spirit, which they source from northern France. This is distilled in a single batch copper still, using a manner similar to malt whisky (they do make it in Scotland after all!). The botanicals they chose are a combination of the traditional found in a number of gins (juniper, coriander seeds, angelica root, cassia bark, orange peel and orris root), along with the less known within gin, Lebanese mint, and some rare variety lemons. These carefully selected botanicals are stepped, and then distilled in the base spirit, which creates a complex and exceedingly well balanced gin.  The result is something quite different within the gin world. The addition of the lebanese mint brings a real freshness, and this is joined with other notes from the citrus, along with a hint of toffee and spiced caramel. This is a slightly higher than usual alcohol content for a "non-navy" gin, which created a powerful heart to the gin - and brings the botanical flavours forward. Interesting fact.... the name Daffy comes from a slang term for Gin in Britain during the 1800's. It became so well used, even the famous writer Charles Dickens mentions it. Daffy is also seen as the Goddess of Gin (having been written about in the 1700's). Read more about Daffy's Perfect Serve As this is such a smooth gin, it can (for those who really enjoy a good gin) be enjoyed on its own, maybe with a little ice. Here it is well rounded, and smooth - with a long finish. However, we prefer this as a longer drink, and like to allow the unique flavours to come out. For a D&T (Daffy's & Tonic), pour 50ml of the gin into a large glass filled with ice, and top up with 150 - 200ml of neutral tonic (we find Double Dutch Indian Tonic works well, but any neutral tonic should be fine). Garnish with a slice of lime, and a sprig of mint.
