The blue and green notes of peppermint and cardamom oils transcend the phases of the fragrance, giving it an endlessly lasting freshness, while the pleasantly surprising Amber, Labdanum, Cinnamon Oil and Saffiano, together with the earthy Vetiver, capture the warm notes of the surrounding mountains at that precise moment in time. “When I created Enclave, my idea was to capture the very special light of the sun setting over the fjords of Musandam. This moment, completely out of time, is an instant of opposite emotions that I interpreted with contrasting notes. I chose to express the deep freshness of the fjords with Mint and Cardamom oils, which refresh the sunny cliffs all day long. I drifted under the blinding sun of the Ras al Jinz coast, intoxicated by the scent of Sambac jasmine, which pierced the air like an extremely luminous accord. I was enveloped by the surreal luminosity of the sun, beating down on the endless white sand beaches, and I captured the salty mineral notes of ambergris to evoke the waves crashing on the shore. Meander from the Odyssey collection by Amouage, is a perfume inspired by the Dhofar plateau in Oman, the fragrance explores the exhilarating feeling of happiness in a land of mist, lush greenery and clear flowing streams. Drawing inspiration from the southernmost governorate of the Sultanate during the monsoon season (Khareef), Amouage creatively translated the surreal fog using incense and smoky Vetiver, with rich green notes of cypriol and daffodil, while its caramel-colored mud gave birth to earthy notes of sandalwood, carrot heart and orris root. “Salalah contains one of the most precious gems in the world of perfume. The finest quality of incense, Frankincense, which is harvested from Boswellia trees that grow in the rich soil in the middle of the desert. I chose to paint a contradiction between the lush green vegetal notes and the hot, dry desert sand: fog and smoke, real and surreal. Two different qualities of olibanum, oil and resinoid, give the precious incense signature that the fragrance carries throughout its development. This character is enriched by rich earthy heart notes of carrot and orris root, smoky cypriol and vetiver from the island of Java.
