For this purpose, we use a modern device called Dreamwalker, which allows us to learn the secrets of the victim's mind. The title was developed by Playmestudio and is its debut project. Story
The boss of the world's largest tech corporation is found dead in her apartment. The player takes on the role of Frederick Russell - an expert on psychology and AI development, who tries to solve the mystery of a woman's death, using an invention called Dreamwalker, which allows you to explore memories. The plot of the game covers topics such as artificial intelligence and violating privacy - including someone's mind. Production also reflects on how real the reality in which we operate every day is.
Gameplay
In The Signifier, we observe the action from the first person perspective (the so-called FPP view ). The gameplay is about exploring the environment, talking to characters, solving puzzles and discovering the plot prepared by the creators. A device called Dreamwalker plays a key role here, as it allows us to enter into another person's memories and dreams. While playing, we move through three different environments: the real world, objective memories and subjective dreams. By unraveling some puzzles, we get access to new dialogue lines that can bring us closer to knowing the truth. During the game, we also learn about psychological concepts and concepts that we can then use in the further course of the game. It is worth noting that everything we do is in some way related to the main storyline - we won't find any fillers or other additional content in the game.
