Chroma Squad is a humorous strategy game inspired by low-budget Power Rangers- style series . The game was developed by Behold studio, the authors of Knights of Pen & Paper . Gameplay In Chroma Squad, we play the role of the creator of a super sentai series. It is a Japanese term that describes television productions in which a group of superheroes fight evil with their own individual superhuman skills and super weapons (often in the form of mechs). The game draws from the rich spiritual legacy of the genre and is packed to the brim with references to popular productions of this type from the 1980s and 1990s. The campaign tells about the adventures of a group of stuntmen who, after years of performing in someone else's projects, decide to create their own series and hire us as their manager. The game is an economic strategy, but still has an extensive storyline and several alternative endings, depending on the decisions we make. The game takes place in a turn-based system and includes both the economic aspect and tactical battles. Our duties include, among others hiring actors, choosing their costumes and assigning them roles in the scenes. The main characters of the series have unique development trees, thanks to which they learn new skills and attacks from episode to episode. We also deal with the technical side of production, which requires the purchase and improvement of equipment, including cameras, microphones, elements of scenery and lamps.
